What UN Member States (Countries) will be represented at MUNA?

The following eleven UN Member States (countries) will be represented.

What resolutions (topics) will be debated?

Three resolutions addressing peace and security, environmental matters, and cultural, economic, and geopolitical concerns will be debated at MUNA.
 
The third resolution will be an unprepared resolution. Delegations (teams) will be given 30 minutes to develop their country’s response to the resolution, and Pair 3 will debate that resolution in the Model Assembly.
 
Delegations will not have access to electronic devices during preparation time or in the Model Assembly whilst the third resolution is debated.
 
Two of the three resolutions for Rotary MUNA 2026 will be issued as a separate document and can be accessed via the District website
 
 

How are the Sponsor and Seconder, and For and Against resolutions decided?

Each resolution will have a Sponsor and a Seconder, and speakers will alternate ‘for’ and ‘against’ each resolution with time limits. Once countries are allocated, delegations need to decide which resolutions they may want to sponsor or second, and if they will vote for or against.
 
We will conduct a poll closer to the MUNA event to determine the speaking order for resolutions 1 & 2. The speaking order for the unprepared resolution 3 will be organised by the Secretary General prior to the debate commencing.

  • Sponsor (4 mins)
  • Seconder (3 mins)
  • First Against (4 mins)
  • All other countries (3 mins)
  • First Against ‘Right of Reply’ (4 mins)
  • Sponsor ‘Right of Reply’ (3 mins)
